The Tema Police Command has arrested four individuals in the Tema Metropolis in the Greater Accra Region for the possession of 315 compressed parcels of leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
According to the police, the 315 compressed parcels were concealed in the tyres of a truck with registration number GN 7291-16, which was intercepted during a police operation.

The suspects, identified as Nura Sali, 44, Pius Chukwuma, 49, Mustapha Umar, 18, and Abdulai Amayau, 23, were apprehended at the Tema Industrial Area by the Tema Community 1 District Police.
The police, in a statement, said the suspects were arraigned before the Ashaiman Circuit Court on Thursday, September 11, 2025, and remanded into police custody.
They will reappear in court on September 30, 2025.
The truck with registration number GN 7291-16, which was used to transport the suspected narcotics, has also been impounded on the orders of the court pending further investigation.
