The Minister of Trade and Industry, K.T Hammond says the Government is still committed to making manufacturing the core of employment in Ghana. 

Mr. Hammond said this while responding to questions on the floor of Parliament.

He said, “Interventions like the strategic anchor industries initiative, industrial parks, and special economic zones are all part of a ten point plan in ensuring manufacturing spearheads the employment drive of the government”.

Mr. Hammond said the “government under the 1D1F is supporting the private sector to produce more baby foods in the country”, to reduce its import bill on the commodity.
