The Ghana Armed Forces have issued a strong warning to those causing violence in Bawku, saying their days are numbered. They stressed their full commitment to protecting lives and property in the conflict-prone area.
” Let me, however, serve a word of caution to all, especially those fomenting the trouble in Bawku, that their days are getting numbered,” he said.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, April 24, 2025, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, assured the people of Bawku and all Ghanaians that the military will continue working hard to ensure peace and security in the area.
“We will not stop until there is peace. Anyone who attacks innocent people or our soldiers will be treated as an extremist and will face the full force of the military,” the spokesperson said.
