The Western Regional Police MTTD Commander, Chief Superintendent, Isaac Sorkpah, has urged persons whose relatives travelled on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from Tarkwa to Accra and have not returned to their destinations to contact the Tarkwa station.

He said it will help in identifying passengers who boarded a Ford vehicle with registration number GW 6628-21 which was involved in a fatal accident at Asem Asa in the Shama District, near the boundary between Western and Central Regions.

14 people on board the said vehicle which was travelling from Tarkwa to Accra died in the crash.

Fourteen people were reported to have been burnt to death when a Ford bus collided with a truck at Asemasa near Beposo on the Cape Coast-Takoradi highway.

The Ford bus with registration number GW 6628-21 was traveling from Tarkwa to Accra when it collided with a truck at Asemasa, near Boposo on the main Takoradi-Cape Coast Highway. According to a witness, both vehicles burst into flames.

The Fire Service could not salvage the situation as the passengers had been burnt to ashes before they arrived. According to other witnesses, the passengers on board the Ford bus were believed to be Chinese nationals.
