Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says a total of 8,463 chip-embedded passports have been distributed across Ghana since April 28, 2025.
The announcement was made in a Facebook post by the Minister, who highlighted that the passports were delivered to applicants via courier at no extra cost. This follows the government’s new Reset Passport Reforms, aimed at improving passport services for citizens.
The Ministry says the successful distribution reflects its commitment to making passport access faster, easier, and more secure for all Ghanaians.
The Minister emphasized the government’s promise to serve the people with dedication and integrity, stating, “Mahama’s government is here to serve you diligently and to keep our pledges to you.”
