The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission PURC, has directed the Ghana Water Company limited to effect a 10.08 percent tariff reduction on prevailing rates for all customers.
The order follows a breach of Section 11 of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission Act 1997 (Act 538) by the Ghana Water Company Limited.
A Statement signed by Executive Secretary of the PURC Mami Dufie Ofori, said Ghana Water has recently been notified by the Commission for its non-compliance with Tariff decision and regulatory directives in relation to the Teshie Desalination Plant.
