The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, accompanied by the Ministry’s Chief Director, Mr. Emmanuel Kartey, have carried out an extensive working visit to various directorates within the Ministry of Defence Accra on Wednesday, February 18, 2026
The familiarization tour, aimed to give the Deputy Minister a first-hand understanding of the operations, programmes, and challenges facing each unit.
Mr Ernest Brogya Genfi took time to engage with directors and staff, asking questions about workflow, resource needs, and strategies for improving efficiency.
Speaking during the tour, the Deputy Minister commended staff for their dedication and resilience in executing their duties under often demanding conditions. He emphasized that the Ministry is committed to supporting its personnel by providing a work environment that encourages productivity, innovation, and professional growth.
Management recognizes the crucial role each directorate plays in the overall functioning of the Ministry,Hon. Genfi said,“We are committed to addressing the operational challenges you face and ensuring that staff have the tools and conditions necessary to perform their duties effectively.”
The visit also offered staff the opportunity to share their experiences and provide feedback directly to the Ministry’s leadership. According to officials, such interactions are part of the Ministry’s broader effort to strengthen internal communication and ensure that policies and support systems are responsive to the needs of personnel.
The Deputy Minister concluded the tour by reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to continuous improvement, stating that building a conducive work environment is central to achieving efficiency, effectiveness, and overall departmental productivity.
