Dikan Center, a visionary non-profit institution dedicated to empowering storytellers, is set to launch its inaugural HerPress Summit, a landmark event designed to spotlight the significance of women leaders and amplify the voices of female journalists across Ghana.

The Summit, an extension of the highly impactful HerPress Fellowship initiated by the Dikan Center, will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Mix Design Hub in Accra.

Bringing together women journalists, editors, and media professionals from across the country, the Summit aims to sharpen storytelling skills, expand mentorship opportunities, and promote gender equity in newsrooms.

It will feature a powerful lineup of speakers and thought leaders, including Bernice Owen-Jones, Australian High Commissioner to Ghana; Genevieve Partington, Country Director of Amnesty International; Samson Lardy Anyenini, legal and media practitioner; and Emma Morrison, renowned media personality.

Paul Ninson, founder of the Dikan Center, noted that the Summit was inspired by a personal experience and a strong desire to see women journalists thrive in a challenging industry.
