Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has cautioned Institutions against reducing the work of National Service Personnel, NSS, to running errands.
Instead the National Service is expected to open them up to the world of work, that would mold them into the professional personalities society expects.
Speaking at the 50th Anniversary of the National Service Scheme in Accra, Mr Bagbin said “the one year mandatory service is a critical period to imbibe the spirit of patriotism in to the Service Personnel to cause a change in the country’s quest to achieve development”.
