The EC says it registered 910,996 voters in the recent Limited Voters registration exercise.
At its latest briefing at the ‘Let the Citizen Know’ Series in Accra, Deputy Chairperson of the EC in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey said the Ashanti Region registered the highest number of voters.
Mr. Samuel Tettey asked Parliament to hastily pass the C.I. on Registration of Voters so that the ‘Ghana Card’ can be the sole document for future registration exercises.
To him, the number of minors who were bussed to centres to register is a blot on the Country’s democratic culture.
