A fire broke out at the Accra Tourist Information Centre in the early hours of Monday, August 4, at approximately 1:00 a.m., causing extensive damage to the facility.



The Ghana National Fire Service responded swiftly, dispatching fire trucks to the scene. Their timely intervention prevented the blaze from consuming the entire structure, leaving parts of the building intact.


As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. Fire officials are continuing their assessment and are expected to provide updates as investigations progress.
The incident has raised concerns about safety protocols and emergency preparedness at public facilities.
