Foreign Affairs Ministry closes premium passport centres in Accra, Kumasi

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the immediate closure of Ghana’s Premium Passport Application Centres in Accra and Kumasi, effective February 20, 2026.

The Ministry in a Press Release issued on Monday, 23rd February, 2026, explained that applicants with pending applications at the affected Premium Centres should redirect their requests to the Regional Passport Application Centres for continued processing. Clients may also contact the Passport Office Client Service Unit on 0302-754-200 for assistance.

The Ministry reassured the public of its commitment to delivering quality service despite the changes and urged all affected applicants to take note of the new arrangements.
