During the 2025 Kpone Homowo celebration, His Royal Majesty Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, underscored the importance of respect and unity among the Gadangme people.
“We won’t sack anyone from Accra. We are welcoming to everyone, but in return we demand respect,” he said, stressing the inclusive spirit of the Ga people. He added: “We won’t dispute with anyone over anything. It is because of our receptive and welcoming nature that the capital of Ghana has been maintained in the Greater Accra region.”

The King highlighted the Ga people’s hospitality as a foundation of Accra’s status as the national capital. “It is because of our love for everyone,” he noted, while urging all residents to honour the cultural heritage of the Ga people. “Let no one disrespect us for hosting the capital,” he declared.
Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II concluded by calling for unity among the Gadangme people, urging them to come together in strength and solidarity. His remarks reinforced the values of respect, inclusion, and cultural pride as vital for building a harmonious society.
