The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC says its attention has been drawn to a publication in the Daily Guide newspaper captured “GBC spent ₵17 million cedis on 2020 election, which is attributed to its Director-General, Professor Amin Alhassan.

A statement by the Public Affairs Directorate says the said publication does not reflect what the Director-General said with respect to the live coverage of the 2020 election petition.

According to the Statement, Professor Alhassan said the Corporation spent $ 3 per minute on the live coverage of the election petition and Seven million cedis on public service broadcast in 2020.

The Corporation hoped the erroneous impression that GBC spent ₵17 million on the coverage of the 2020 elections is corrected.
