The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has visited traders at the Dansoman Market to commiserate with victims of the recent fire outbreak that destroyed several stalls and claimed the life of an eight-year-old girl.

During her visit, Dr. Lartey engaged with affected traders, listened to their concerns, and assured them of government’s commitment to support their recovery as they work to rebuild and return to business.

She further pledged that the Ministry will provide psychosocial support for traders traumatized by the incident and will collaborate with relevant state agencies to coordinate relief efforts for the market community.

The Minister also paid a visit to the mother of the eight-year-old girl who lost her life in the fire. She extended condolences on behalf of the Ministry and assured the bereaved family of continuous support during this difficult period.

The Gender Ministry says it remains committed to ensuring that no affected person is left behind as recovery efforts continue.
