The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned the public against falling prey to fake recruitment adverts and appointment letters currently circulating on social media, noting that no official recruitment process has commenced.
In a statement dated June 28, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, the Service warned that all such offers are fraudulent.
The notice was reshared on GES’s official Facebook page on August 4, 2025, with the caption: “Recruitment will be announced and conducted, openly and transparently, when it officially begins. In the meantime, please stay vigilant and do not fall victim to scammers.”
GES confirmed that although the Minister for Education has announced plans to recruit 50,000 teachers and 10,000 non-teaching staff, the process is yet to begin.
“All GES recruitments are completely free,” the statement read, adding that no individual or group has been authorized to charge fees for recruitment, processing, or appointment.
The public is advised to disregard such fake appointment letters and urged to report fraudulent activities to the nearest police station.
GES reiterated its commitment to transparency and integrity and called on all applicants to rely solely on official communication channels.
