Government has taken a decisive retaliatory measure, deporting three Israeli nationals after the alleged “ill-treatment and unjustified deportation” of three Ghanaian nationals by Israeli authorities.

The action was taken after the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Israeli Embassy was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the Israeli Ambassador to Ghana is currently out of the country. Both governments have agreed to seek an amicable resolution to the incident.

In a statement issued today, December 10, 2025, the Ministry emphasized that Ghana remains committed to safeguarding the dignity and rights of its citizens, while maintaining strong and respectful relations with all friendly nations.

“Ghana deeply values our relations with all friendly countries and expects our citizens to be treated with dignity and respect, just as other governments expect Ghana to treat their nationals,” the statement said.

The Ministry reaffirmed that it will continue to take necessary measures to protect the interests of Ghanaians abroad.
