According to a statement issued by the Ministry on Thursday, 29 May 2025, the embassy is now fully operational and ready to serve the Ghanaian community and the public. The statement also introduced the embassy’s new website address: washington.mfa.gov.gh, aimed at enhancing public access to its services.
The Ministry urged the public to use the following email addresses for specific enquiries:
- visa.washington@mfa.gov.gh – For visa and consular-related enquiries
- passport.washington@mfa.gov.gh – For passport-related enquiries
- info.washington@mfa.gov.gh – For general enquiries
Providing an update on consular activities since the reopening, the Ministry revealed that a total of 815 visas and 10 passport applications have been processed so far.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains committed to serving the general public with professionalism and dedication,” the statement emphasized.
The reopening of the embassy is expected to significantly improve consular services for Ghanaians in the United States and deepen diplomatic ties between Ghana and the United States.
