The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has cautioned the public to beware of a fraudulent recruitment website circulating on social media and other online platforms.
In a press release dated June 2, 2025, the GIS discredited the unauthorized website, GOLERNERSHUB.COM, which is falsely advertising job openings and collecting applications from unsuspecting individuals. The Service stressed that it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise.
“The Service wishes to categorically disassociate itself from this false information,” the statement said, adding that GIS has not engaged any individual, group, or third-party platform to recruit on its behalf or to sell protocol forms. It further clarified that no official clearance has been granted by the Government for any recruitment at this time.
The GIS reassured the public that any legitimate recruitment exercise will be properly announced through trusted sources, including national newspapers and official GIS communication channels.
Meanwhile, authorities say investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the individuals behind the scam. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious recruitment activities to the nearest police station or immigration office.
