The Ghana International Awards ceremony has been held in Accra, with a strong call for awardees to uphold good moral values and contribute to national development.
Daniel Daviston, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana International Awards, noted that the event aims to celebrate achievements and inspire future generations to contribute to the country’s progress. The awards, organised in collaboration with the Nigeria International Awards, recognise individuals and organisations demonstrating excellence in their respective fields.
The ceremony emphasised the significance of good moral values, encouraging awardees to serve as role models and foster positive change. The event also highlighted Ghanaian excellence, reinforcing national pride and unity.
Speaking at the ceremony on February 27, 2025, Mr. Derrick Kojo Apatu, a youth developer, praised the organisers for recognising young entrepreneurs. He urged the youth to rise to expectations and contribute to the nation’s growth.

One of the evening’s distinguished honorees, Maye Irene, was awarded the prestigious Tertiary Student of the Year under the Ghana International Awards.

In a significant announcement, CEO Daniel Daviston revealed plans to expand the awards program with the launch of two new initiatives: the Ghana University Students Awards and the Ministry of Students Awards. These initiatives aim to support student leadership and achievements in Ghana. The awards will recognise student leaders, including the Student President of Ghana, Student Minister of Finance, Student Minister of Business and Agriculture, and other key student figures.

Furthermore, Daviston disclosed that the organisation is set to introduce the Zambia International Awards, which will be led by Mrs. Makayi Fatuma. This expansion marks an important step in recognizing and celebrating excellence across Africa.
Mr Daviston expressed his appreciation to the management team of the Ghana International Awards for their dedication to the 2025 event. He extended gratitude to key team members, including Mr. Bless Ahiagba (Vice President of Ghana International Awards), Joshua Nyarko (Public Relations Officer), Diana Boakye (Marketing Manager), Mrs. Good News (Chief Financial Officer), and Mrs. Rebecca Nartey (General Secretary of GIA), for their unwavering commitment.
