In an address during the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy presentation to Parlaiment on November 13, 2025, Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, shared the country’s progress in recovering its economy, highlighting the important contributions of various government departments in different areas.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Dr. Forson said, “The story of Ghana’s economic recovery in 2025 is best told through the works of our Ministries, Departments and Agencies, across every sector from agriculture and industry to governance, infrastructure, and human development.”
He pointed out that the positive results seen this year are due to “discipline, execution and innovation.”
The Minister stressed the government’s aim to keep the economic growth going, saying, “Our goal now is to maintain this momentum.” He mentioned plans to improve productivity in farming and industry, speed up infrastructure projects and enhance training and governance.
Dr. Ato Forson encouraged Ghanaians to be hopeful about the future, stating, “Sector Ministers will present their outlook in detail, but the main message is clear; Ghana is recovering with purpose and has a bright future ahead.”
His comments were well received by members of Parliament, who showed their support for the government’s plans.
