Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Attah, has directed that toll collection at the various toll booths across the country be halted effective Thursday, November 18, 2021.

The directive follows an announcement by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, during the presentation of the 2022 Budget on November 17, 2021, which said the directive takes effect immediately after the Budget is approved.

A statement signed by Mr. Amoako- Attah said the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Police Service will be on hand to provide security at all Toll locations.

The statement advised Motorists to approach the toll locations with caution and observe all safety measures that will be put in place.
