Voting at the Homowo polling station in the Tema East Constituency was disrupted after claims surfaced about a hidden camera in a nearby streetlight.

The allegations led to heated arguments among voters and polling officials, creating chaos at the station. A video shared online showed the tense situation as a crowd of onlookers gathered, accusing the hidden camera of being used to monitor or influence voters.

Security personnel quickly stepped in to calm the situation, ensuring the elections could continue. With their presence, voting resumed under stricter security measures.

The Tema East Constituency is a hotspot in this election, featuring a tough competition between the New Patriotic Party’s Yohane Armah Ashitey and the National Democratic Congress’s Isaac Ashai Odamtten.

Electoral observers and security forces are working to maintain order, while the Electoral Commission is expected to investigate the allegations to avoid further disturbances.
