The Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations says an ongoing recruitment scam, from January this year, has seen a number of desperate job seekers falling victims.

Assistant Public Relations Officer at the Ministry, Osei-Opoku Gyamfi, said since January, a number of disappointed youth have been trooping to the ministry almost every day to lodge complaints.

He said although the ministry has issued a disclaimer to that effect, it keeps receiving victims who enquire about their job placements.

The Ministry, in one such disclaimer, categorically disassociated itself from the false and misleading news item, as the information is fraudulent and malicious.

It explained that the ministry is not a recruiting body, and urged the public to disregard job offer information purported to be from the ministry.
