The inspector general of the Ghana Police Service, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has disclosed that everyone who is due to be promoted in line with the policies has been duly promoted.
His comment comes on the back of allegations raised by the second witness in the ongoing audio leak probe, COP George Alex Mensah that officers have been denied promotions since his administration began.
Appearing before the Parliamentary Committee on September 12, 2023, Dr. Dampare denied those allegations leveled against him on the account of promotions
“The question is not about how many years we have been in the place, we will all loved to be promoted as soon as we are 4 years and there about” he stated
Additionally, he added that he was in his rank for 6 years without any promotion but he didn’t complain.
He disclosed how he will do his work with or without promotion with his commanders.
“I will continue to do my work, work In concept with my commanders across the country, and do our job how it should be done being it election or any other matter”.
