The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has launched the Ministry’s Online Digital Services Portal, marking a significant step in Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
The platform is expected to provide citizens with convenient, secure, and efficient access to a wide range of services offered by the Ministry.
The portal hosts several services, including Citizenship and Migration processes, Immigrant Quota Permits, Renunciation of Citizenship, and Dual Nationality/Citizenship applications. It also accommodates specialised services such as Licensing of Private Security Organisations, Permits for the Import and Export of Explosives, Arms and Ammunition, and the Exportation of Human Remains.
Speaking at the launch, Interior Minister Mohammed-Mubarak noted that digitalising these services is expected to enhance efficiency, transparency, accountability, and data security, while supporting revenue assurance.
He explained that the portal reflects the government’s commitment to using technology to improve public service delivery, minimise administrative bottlenecks, and offer a modern, user-friendly platform for citizens and businesses.
The launch aligns with Ghana’s wider digital transformation efforts aimed at building a secure, inclusive digital economy and improving access to government services.
The Ministry has encouraged the public to utilise the platform to streamline applications and reduce the need for in-person visits.
