The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Ghana, has a new Country Representative in the person of Prof. Kehinde Olufunso Ogunjobi. He is also in charge of the West and Central Africa Sub-Region of the institute. Prof. Ogunjobi takes over from Dr. Olufunke Cofie, who is now the Africa Director for Research Impact at IWMI.

A statement signed by Dr. Olufunke Cofie noted that the new Country Representative of the Institute in charge of the two regions, Prof. Ogunjobi, assumed his role last month. He comes with a rich background as a seasoned climate scientist and development leader with more than 20 years of experience in applied research, policy, and capacity strengthening across West Africa.

Before joining IWMI, Prof. Ogunjobi served as Director of the Competence Center of the West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL).
