The death is reported of former Ashanti Regional Manager of the Ghana News Agency Mr Kofi Asetena.
He was 81.
He was on admission for one week and passed away on Sunday, July 7.
Mr. Asetena was among the few journalists who survived the culture of silence of the Rawlings regime.
