Residents of Trom, a suburb of Koforidua can now heave a sigh of relief as their dilapidated road which has caused many accidents in the area has now been fixed.

The New Juaben South Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Appau-Gyasi and the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency, Michael Okyere Baafi who inspected the road assured the people that the second coat of the road will start soon to make it durable to prolong its lifespan.

 

Koforidua-Trom: Dilapidated road tarred

The 10.5 kilometer bitumen road from two streams junction will serve the people of Trom, Acheampong, Bornya and its environs. It will also address the exorbitant fares charged by the drivers as the road is now motorable.

According to the New Juaben South Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Appau-Gyasi, the assembly will soon attend to other bad roads in the municipality to make it commutable for commuters.

That aside, he said all the Koforidua town roads will be asphalted to boost economic activities in the area.

Some of the residents who spoke to GBCNEWS showered praises on government for fixing the road.
