The National Communications Authority (NCA) has announced that it has received Multichoice Ghana’s response to its notice of intent to suspend its authorisation and its request for a revised pricing model.

In a statement issued on September 7, 2025, the NCA said it has since held further engagements with Multichoice following its public statement on September 5, 2025. According to the Authority, three key clarifications have been secured.

First, Multichoice has agreed to participate fully in the Stakeholder Committee, which was directed by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, to review DStv pricing in Ghana.

Second, the company noted that the outcome of the Committee’s work would be respected at the end of its deliberations. Lastly, Multichoice pledged to abide by due process as well as the laws of Ghana and the interests of consumers.

The NCA disclosed that the first meeting of the Stakeholder Committee will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, after which further updates will be provided.
