The Ga South District of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has climaxed the 2025 International Anti-Corruption Day celebration with a forum to educate pupils of Hobor and Kweku Panfo Basic School to lead the charge of rejecting corruption in any shape or form.
The event formed part of activities to mark International Anti-Corruption Day, which is observed globally every year on December 9.
The Municipal Director of the NCCE in Ga South, with support from other anti-corruption crusaders, explained corruption in plain, simple language and with practical examples on what constitutes corruption and why, and how pupils can also lead the fight against corruption.

Representatives from the government and all security agencies also took their turns as they highlighted the need for pupils to inculcate the habit of patriotism by living with the act of reporting wrongdoing and upholding integrity.
With support from GIZ and co-funded by the European Union through the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition, it was clear that Ghana’s corruption perception index score of 42% for four years has struck a deep cut into our integrity, prompting a wake-up call for action.
