In a statement, it said the high level of commitment and professionalism exhibited during their patrols led to the visible presence of the Police at strategic locations within major cities and towns during the festivities .

This prevented criminals from carrying out their nefarious activities. The President of the Council, Professor Frimpong Manso congratulated the Police for a well executed operation inspite of the challenges confronting them.

He urged the Inspector General of Police, to make Operation Father Christmas a daily strategy and called on the Ministry of the Interior to fast-track retooling of the Police Service to enable it confront changing complexities that may emerge before, during and after the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
