There were reports of sporadic gunshots at the Nyankpala Chief’s Palace in the Northern Region.
The motive behind the shooting is not known. However, the Yaa Naa enskinned a new chief for Nyankpala and it is believed, that the shooting incident is connected to the enskinment.
Sources within the Northern Regional Police Command have confirmed the incident, saying personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order.
