A Policeman with the Accra Regional Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and two others, have been arrested for murder and robbery.

The Officer, Lance Corporal Bright Akosa, who had been attached to the Formed Police Unit (FPU), boarded a taxi under the guise of going to visit a building site, but asked the driver to stop at a point and shot him twice, while the driver was sitting behind the steering wheel.

At a news conference in Accra, Head of Police CID, COP Ken Yeboah, said the Policeman aided by his accomplices, pulled out the deceased and shot him again.

COP Yeboah warned officers who may be engaged in such acts to stop, as he will make sure the law deals ruthlessly with them when caught.
