Inspector-General of Police Dr George Akuffo Dampare has reiterated his administration’s resolve to transform the Police Service into a world-class institution and the most respected organization in Ghana.

To this end, he has assured personnel of his availability and that of leadership to listen to all concerns and ideas to make this possible.

Dr. Dampare, however, warned those who engage in “misconduct” and “unprofessionalism” to desist from those acts particularly in the coming year to regain the trust, confidence and respect of the public.

These were contained in his Christmas and New Year Message to personnel of the Service.

The IGP eulogised officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in the past year. He reiterated the Service’s resolve to support their surviving families.
