Presidency calls for national tributes to honour helicopter crash victims

The Presidency has announced a national call for tributes in memory of the eight individuals who lost their lives in the tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025. In a statement issued on Monday, August 11, 2025, the Funeral Planning Committee extended an invitation to all citizens, institutions, and organizations to submit messages of condolence and heartfelt tributes for inclusion in the official memorial brochure.

The public is encouraged to send submissions via email to tributes@presidency.gov.gh no later than 12:00 p.m. GMT on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

A State Funeral will be held to honour the victims on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra, commencing at 8:00 a.m.

Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, expressed that the courage, dedication, and spirit of the departed should inspire Ghanaians to work towards building a stronger, united, and prosperous nation.
