The national taskforce, given the responsibility to assist in establishing a new national airline, have compiled a report which will make recommendations on how the country can achieve the quest to become an aviation hub in West Africa.
The report is to be presented to President John Mahama today, 23 December 2025
The ten-member task force, chaired by former Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company, Mr. Charles Asare is expected to outline key findings, recommendations, and a proposed roadmap for the operationalization of the airline.
Following months of technical assessment and consultations with stakeholders, which marked a significant step in government’s efforts to revive Ghana’s national carrier, the report is expected to advise on steps to be taken and decisions which will make the establishment of the airline possible
Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe emphasized Government’s commitment to establishing a sustainable and efficient national carrier to bolster regional air connectivity and to position Ghana as a competitive aviation hub in West Africa
