From Monday March 8, the price of a bag of sachet water will increase from 2 cedis to 2 cedis 50 pesewas. This is a twenty percent increase.

The increment was announced by the producers and manufacturers of sachet and mineral water.

In an interview with GBC NEWS, interim Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the sachet water producers, Korsi Asiseh said the increment is as a result of factors such as raw materials, and fuel.

In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has also brought untold hardship on them leading to increase in raw materials.

He however asked sachet water sellers not to increase their price because the profit is marginal.

He said this on our news and current affairs programme ‘Behind the News’ on UNIIQ FM.

PRO of Producers of Sachet Drinking and Mineral Water, Korsi Asiseh, some sachet water sellers have been reacting to the announcement of the price increment.
