Parts of Accra have been hit by earth tremors on Monday, December 12, 2022, with some residents taking to social media, specifically Twitter, to confirm and share their experiences.
The rarity is said to have occurred three times around 11:49 am, 11:43 am and 11:58 respectively, at an estimated magnitude 4.0, 10 km from some parts of Accra.
Some of the places that recorded the tremor included New Achimota, Kokomlemle, Kaneshie, Adenta, Circle, Osu, Ablekuma Manhean, Accra, New Town, Legon, Dansoman, Kasoa, Haatso, Adabraka, Gbawe, McCarthy hill and Mallam among others.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GSSA) has issued a Press Release advising the public to keep calm. Stay tuned for more updates.
