Residents of New Bortianor and Red Top in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region say they are sitting on a time bomb due to activities of Sunda International, a manufacturing company in the area.
According to the residents, the Company in its expansion project has been blasting the rocky area around the factory with explosives, which results in frequent earth tremors.
The intensity of the blasts has resulted in structural cracks in most of their homes.
The company’s construction involves blasting a rocky area, used to be a stone quarry, in an attempt to level the ground for construction works to start.
