The Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, Shamima Muslim, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to a transformative national agenda centred on job creation, accountability, and shared prosperity.
Speaking at the National Emerging Leaders Economic Forum (NELEF) organized by VODEC Africa on September 22, 2025, Shamima Muslim said President John Dramani Mahama is “pursuing a bold reset agenda anchored on jobs, accountability and shared prosperity.”
Representing the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, at the event held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) auditorium, she outlined the government’s progress in tackling youth unemployment, one of the country’s most pressing challenges.
She emphasized that the president’s vision is to address youth empowerment as a driver of national growth and prosperity. “The aim is to ensure that everyone, especially young people, is carried along in this new development agenda,” she noted.
The forum, which brought together emerging leaders and young people from across the country, was designed to provide a platform for networking, engagement, and mentorship, as well as inspire youth to ask critical questions and contribute to national development.
A number of dignitaries graced the event, including the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, the Chief of Asante Asamang, Barima Acheampong Sarpong II, and Queen Nihad Titiaka Oases Ibrahim, winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2024.
