The Managing Director (MD) for Ghana Water Limited (GWL), Adam Mutawakilu, has urged customers to update their information with the office when they relocate to avoid receiving unnecessary water bills. According to the Ghana Water MD, many people still receive bills even after they’ve moved to other locations because their records haven’t been updated.

Speaking in an interview on Citifm today, Mr. Mutawakilu emphasized the importance of informing GWL about changes in residence to ensure accurate billing and the avoidance of receiving someone else’s bill.

He said he has embarked on a system-wide assessment tour of major water treatment plants to identify and address operational inefficiencies.

Mr. Mutawakilu also commended Ghana Water Limited for maintaining a steady flow of water despite the damaging effects of illegal mining activities on the country’s water bodies.
