UTAG to meet government today to address grievances in ongoing strike

The University Teachers Association of Ghana, UTAG will meet government and stakeholders TODAY to find a lasting solution to the ongoing strike by the Association.

The strike by the Association which is in its 5th week has affected teaching and learning on university campuses across the country. The Association is demanding that their conditions of Service be paid.

Speaking on “Behind the News”, President of the University of Ghana Chapter, Dr. Samuel Nkuban said the meeting which is slated for 3pm February 8, 2022, and if it becomes fruitful, it may lead to the Association calling off its strike.

The Association earlier declined an invitation to meet the National Labour Commission reiterating that the Association thought it wise to meet with the government.
