The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, will be the Special Guest of Honour at this year’s Women’s Day Celebration of the Chiefs and people of the Asogli State in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital.

The Women’s Day Celebration, which is an annual event as part of the activities lined up for the 2025 Teza festival of the Asogli State is on the theme “Empowering Women for Inclusive Development.”

The celebration is scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Ho Technical University’s GM Afeti Auditorium, starting at 9:00 am.

As the first female Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang is an inspiration to many girls and young women across the country and the world at large.

Her presence at the Women’s Day Celebration is expected to be a huge boost to the event, motivating and empowering women to strive for greatness.

The Women’s Day Celebration is expected to be the biggest gathering of women in Asogli State, bringing together women and girls from all walks of life.

Other dignitaries expected at the event are the Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, and the Paramount Queenmother of the Asogli State, Mamaga Akua Dei II.

The 2025 Teza festival of the Asogli State is under the theme: “Together in honesty and purpose, we build a just, peaceful and prosperous nation.”

The Afetornyornufia (Queen) of Bake Clan, Ho Bankoe, Mama Bobi III, who is a Circuit Court Judge, a strong advocate for women’s empowerment and ambition, is one of the lead organizers of the Women’s Day Celebration.

Mama is warmly extending an invitation to all women and girls of the Asogli State, as well as anyone who supports the cause of women, to attend and join in the celebration.

“I warmly invite all women and girls of the Asogli State, and everyone who has the cause of women at heart, to join the women of Asogli State for the Women’s Day Celebration at the Ho Technical University Auditorium on Thursday, September 11.”

“Come and witness the biggest gathering of WOMEN in Asogli State. I look forward to celebrating with you,” she posted on her official Facebook handle.

Last year, the Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Togo, and Benin, Her Excellency Simone Giger, and other notable, ambitious women and dignitaries graced the occasion to encourage and inspire women of the Asogli State.
