The Vice President of the Republic of Colombia, Francia Elena Márquez Mina, is in Ghana for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Her visit began yesterday when Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, James Gyakye Quayson, welcomed her at the Kotoka International Airport.
Today, Vice President Márquez Mina will participate in a Business Seminar on Trade and Investment Opportunities between Ghana and Colombia at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre. This will be followed by a private meeting with Ghana’s Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and bilateral talks between the two delegations. The engagements will feature an official photograph, the signing of an MoU, and her inscription in the Jubilee House Guest Book. She will later be hosted at a state dinner.
On Friday, the Colombian Vice President will visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, meet with Executives of Fidelity Bank Ghana and on Saturday, she is expected to call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, marking the final activity before her departure.
