The Majority Caucus in Parliament has presented one hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢100,000) to the wife of the late Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency, Mahama Naser Toure, as a show of solidarity and support.
The donation was made during a visit by members of the caucus to the family’s residence in Accra, where they expressed their sympathies and conveyed their deepest condolences, following the passing of the legislator. The caucus described the late MP as a committed public servant whose contribution to parliamentary work and constituency development would be remembered.
Speaking during the visit, leaders of the Majority Caucus said the gesture was meant to support the family during this difficult period and to reaffirm the caucus’ commitment to standing with its members and their families in times of loss.

As the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prepares for its parliamentary primaries scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026 the caucus also assured the widow of its full backing as she prepares to contest in the primaries. According to the caucus, the assurance reflects the party’s confidence in continuity and unity within the Ayawaso East Constituency.
Hajia Amina Adam, widow of the late Ayawaso East Member of Parliament, formally announced her intention to contest the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries in the constituency, following the passing of her husband Naser Mahama Toure.
