Affordability, quality and reliability will define petroleum supply under my leadership – Edudzi Tamakloe

‎The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, has assured Ghanaians that affordability, quality and reliability will be the key pillars guiding the supply of petroleum products under his leadership.

‎Speaking at the New Year School and Conference held in Accra on Tuesday January 6, 2926, Mr. Tamakloe said the NPA is committed to ensuring that petroleum products remain fairly priced, meet high quality standards and are supplied consistently across the country.

‎He noted that Ghana has seen renewed national momentum over the past year under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, stressing that both public and private institutions must play their part in building a strong and sustainable economy.

‎Mr. Tamakloe said the NPA shares the vision of sustainable development and is working to reset and transform the downstream petroleum sector. According to him, the Authority envisions a sector that is innovative, efficient and sustainable, capable of supporting long-term national growth.

‎He said his focus has been on ensuring fair pricing, strict compliance with industry standards and a steady supply of petroleum products to consumers. He added that the Authority is also interested in job creation and keeping the downstream sector active and productive.

‎Mr. Tamakloe disclosed that he is leading efforts to address infrastructure challenges to support the 24-hour economy, particularly within the downstream petroleum industry.

‎He praised the organisers of the New Year School, describing the programme as a key platform for shaping public discourse and national policy. He also commended the University of Ghana for its continuous innovation and commitment to excellence.

‎Mr. Tamakloe assured stakeholders that the NPA will continue to collaborate with academia and the business community to advance Ghana’s development agenda.

‎He reaffirmed that the Authority’s commitment to ensuring a regular supply of quality and affordable petroleum products to support sustainable national development.
