The Ghana Medical and Dental Council says all efforts to close down the Advanced Body Sculpt Centre, also known as Obengfo Hospital have failed.
The Council is therefore, alerting patients who wish to visit the facility to be cautious about it.
Body sculpting is a procedure that alters the shape of the human body, and includes procedures that eliminate or reduce excess skin and fat that remain after previously obese individuals have lost a significant amount of weight, in a variety of places including the torso, upper arms, chest, and thighs.

The Embattled Director of Advanced Body Sculpt Centre, Dr. Dominic Kwame Obeng-Andoh, has been standing trial in connection with the death of Stacy Offei-Darko who was a Deputy Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (NEIP), at his facility last year under what the deceased’s family described as strange circumstances.

Ms. Offei-Darko died while on admission at the Obengfo Hospital on the 21st of May, after undergoing a surgical procedure performed by Dr Obeng-Andoh.
The doctor was charged for practising medicine without a licence, and operating an unlicensed medical facility. He has denied any wrongdoing.
