Manchester City’s Ghanaian sensation Antoine Semenyo has been crowned Premier League Player of the Month for February, just weeks after his blockbuster January switch from AFC Bournemouth.
The 26-year-old forward wasted no time dazzling at the Etihad, netting three goals and adding an assist in five league outings against Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham, and Leeds United.

“This is a brilliant moment for me. To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget,” Semenyo beamed on Man City’s website.
He added, “My focus now is on continuing to improve and helping City to achieve the best possible results. We have so much to play for, and I am really excited about this final period of the season.”
Semenyo’s versatility shone through, thriving on both wings, in central midfield, and up top, instantly bolstering Pep Guardiola’s attack and signaling his rise as a key squad player.

The accolade makes Semenyo the first non-Erling Haaland winner for City since Raheem Sterling in 2021, Haaland has claimed it four times this term.
He topped a star-studded shortlist featuring Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal), Nico O’Reilly (City), Dango Ouattara (Brentford), Benjamin Sesko (Man Utd), and Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool).
