A former childcare worker in Australia has been charged with sexually abusing 91 children, in what has been described as one of the worst child sex abuse cases in the country’s history.
The 45-year-old man has been charged with one thousand, six-hundred and twenty-three separate offences, including one hundred and 36 counts of rape, one hundred and 10 counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10 and six hundred and 13 counts of producing child exploitation material.
Investigators had been searching for the man since discovering a collection of child exploitation images and videos, circulating on the dark web in 2014.
The accused from the Gold Coast in Queensland, has been in custody since he was arrested and charged with a number of child exploitation offences in August 2022.
